With Valentine’s Day officially less than two weeks away, now is time to break out supplies from our craft drawer to create fun Valentine’s Day crafts with Phil. Tiny Prints recently created five Valentine’s Day box ideas for children to collect their cards, and they’re super cute. Tiny Prints even provided the downloadable templates and instructions, so it’s simple to recreate their designs. One of my favorites that I plan to make with Phil is the perfect panda bear—the eyes, nose and ears are too adorable! And if you know us, you know that we LOOOOVVVEEE pandas! 🐼😍🐼

The crafts needed to create this panda box project are:

-11”x11” box

-Printable ears, eyes, nose: Download here.

-Black marker

-White construction paper

-White crepe paper

-Black glitter

-Scissors

Step-by-step Instructions:

Step 1: Assemble your cardboard box and cut white construction paper to match the height and width of all six sides of your box.

Step 2: With a glue stick, adhere the white construction paper to all sides of your box. Then, wrap white crepe paper horizontally around the box, securing with glue.

Step 3: Download and print the panda template and cut along the lines of the ears, eyes and nose. Then glue black glitter to the nose and ears for a sparkly effect.

Step 4: Glue the printable ears, eyes and nose to the box and draw the mouth in black marker.

Step 5: Cut a slit in the top for creative Valentine’s Day cards to fit in! Note that you might want to make the slit big enough to remove the cards without disassembling the box.

If your child hasn’t entered grade school yet, have every family member create a special Valentine’s Day card to put in their unique box. They’ll be so excited to open and read your special messages on February 14th! Tiny Prints recommends stuffing cute bear Valentine's Day cards in the box.
