Honest review of Vessi Kids Weekend Sneakers in vibrant Citrus Yellow, perfect for all adventures, big and small, wet and dry!
Hi friends! I’m so excited to review, along with Phil, a newly launched shoe collection from Vessi, the Vessi Kids Weekend Collection! Vessi sent us a vibrant Citrus Yellow pair of Vessi Kids Weekend sneakers in exchange for an honest review, and here’s our review.
I have an adult pair of the Vessi Weekend sneakers and I love them. (See my review here.) Phil’s kid pair is very similar to mine, with one immediately noticeable difference: it’s smaller and made for kids, LOL. Another key difference is that the kid’s pair also comes with no-tie shoelace clips (perfect for the little ones). Kiddos also get cute stickers and an extra pair of laces from Vessi. Like the adult version, they are 100% waterproof and breathable so you can wear them rain or shine. Vessi Kids Weekend sneaker is made with vegan materials and is machine-washable making it a breeze to clean these shoes. The insoles provide mild arch support and are removable. The outsoles are slip-resistant, making the Vessi Kids Weekend sneakers perfect for adventurous junior puddle jumpers/hunters and storm chasers.
Phil loved how easy it was to slip on his pair of Vessi Kids Weekend sneakers. He did have to wear socks during the break-in period of the shoes. When Phil realized he would never have to tie these shoelaces (thanks to the no-tie shoelace clips), he was so happy! Since these sneakers are comfy and lightweight, they've become Phil's favorite to play around and go adventuring in.
I’ve had my Weekend Vessi sneakers for a while now, so I know they last. They don’t lose their shape after machine washes. Like I’ve mentioned before, what makes these sneakers special is that they’re 100% vegan, 100% waterproof, and 100% machine-washable (be sure to air dry only though).
While the shoes are great for rain, the material innovation allows them to be worn all year round. Phil is loving wearing them during summer adventures and can’t wait to wear his Vessi Kids Weekend sneakers when the rainy season arrives! It’s so nice to be able to wear these shoes instead of clunky rain boots. On PE days, I’ve had many kids slip and fall on me during PE when they came to school with their rain boots and no other shoes to change into. The Vessi Kids Weekend sneakers are perfect on rainy days, sunny days, active days, any day!
We really don’t have anything negative to say about these shoes. You can purchase a pair here for $85 (USD). Seven wonderful colors are available. My personal favorite is the Lychee Pink and I wish adults could score a pair of Lychee Pink! The sizes available: C11 to J4
The sneakers appear true to size. With prolonged wear, the shoes will stretch out a bit, making them easier to slip on. To be waterproof, they do have to conform to the shape of your child’s feet. Please size up if your child is in the half-size territory.
